Howard Podeswa Howard is a Toronto-based painter, whose work has been exhibited internationally and in Canada over the past 17 years. His most recent series, After Las Meninas, is a group of paintings based on Velazquez’s masterwork (Peak Gallery, February 2006 and the Toronto International Art Fair, November 2006). His work can be found in numerous public and private collections, including the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and SEI Investments. Podeswa has been the recipient of Canada, Ontario and Toronto Arts Council awards and grants, mostly recently an Ontario Arts Council Grants to Individual Artists (2006). He has been profiled internationally (ArtThrob, dArt International) and nationally, in print (Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Eye Magazine) and other media (CITY TV, CBC radio, ATV and others).
